CTech offers
replacement Float Brackets for use with AirCruiser Floats. These Float Brackets
are FAA PMA approved. The STC covers installation on all AS350 models including
the B3.
The superior design of these brackets helps control cracking problems by
utilizing thicker bolt webbing and wider shoulder design. Each skid bolt area is
over 3/8” thick and each float tube bolt area is over 5/16” thick. The supplied
skid attachment bolts have been designed as shoulder bolts and do not allow for
stressing of the attachment legs which leads to cracking. The increase in weight
is approximately 1.5 lbs per bracket. This increase is offset by the overall
durability of the brackets and therefore greater safety and reduced cost.
CTech’s Float Brackets are easy to retrofit to existing skid tubes or install on
new tubes. By utilizing a specially designed installation tool the new brackets
are easily lined up in the original positions.
CTech’s Full Kit comes complete with four brackets, eight specially designed
bolts, eight washers and eight nuts. CTech also provides the use of its
installation tool which is required for installing the float brackets. Each
bracket has been Type I anodized and comes with an epoxy primer coating.
The Float Brackets can also be purchased for individual sides, as in the left or
right side of the aircraft. Spare parts for existing CTech kits are also readily
available.
