The owner and operator of Certified
Technology, Randy Cromwell, has worked in the aviation industry since 1987.
Randy began as a commercial helicopter pilot, flight instructor and an airframe
and powerplant mechanic.
This training provided an excellent background for Randy’s next step in
aviation, the coordinating and receiving approval for rotorcraft products under
Supplemental Type Certificates (STC).
Working with new products in the design and prototyping phase was a perfect fit
for Randy and led right into the creation of Certified Technology Inc. which
began operations in Kirkland, Washington October 1996.
As Randy’s reputation as a skilled machinist became known CTech began to expand
beyond aviation. There was also a need for more machinery which meant a new
location. CTech relocated to Chico, California in October 2000.
Randy’s wife, Stacy, is also part of CTech and with her skills as a designer and
drafter CTech is able to provide the full package in certification work as well
as engineering drafting services.
Currently, we are operating 3 Bridgeport milling machines including 2 CNC
models. We have capabilities for turning, grinding, welding and heat-treating
for tooling.
